About Me
I’ve been a teacher and passionate textile artist for many years, creating original pieces, using a variety of fabrics and embellishments..
Through my international travels I have been influenced by many different landscapes and I continue to be inspired by the natural beauty around me.
I am now settled in the beautiful Forest of Bowland, rich in natural landscapes and designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. This is obviously a rich source of inspiration but not exclusively.
I work loosely from photographs but I also refer back to memories of mountains, beaches and seascapes I have been privileged to visit over the years.
I have a particular passion for using scrap fabrics and trimmings (especially sari silks) and I’m always on the lookout for more unusual textures – metal / natural bits and pieces.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about what I do – or if you would like to commission your very own original piece of textile art.
